Falling for You

I LOVE fall.  I used to love spring the best, but within the past few years I've fallen for the autumn months (..sorry I couldn't resist).  There's the cooler temperatures, changing leaves, Halloween, long sleeves, new TV shows, Thanksgiving, time with family, and oh yeah.... hunting season.

Hunting season and I have a love/hate relationship.  Well, hate is a little bit too strong of word.  Dislike doesn't sum it up either, but it's the best word I can think of right now.  Any hunter's wife knows where I'm coming from.  It's that moment when he says, "Is it cool if we go look for a ___________?" (Fill in the blank: dove, deer, moose, antelope, grouse, turkey, coyote...).  Of course that's cool.  I really have no problem with it and I encourage Josh to do the things he loves to do.  In that moment, however, at first there's the thought of "Now what am I going to do?"  (I will still end up doing what I would normally do but it's just different I guess).  That goes with the hate part.  Then the Love... how about some ME (ME/Talon) time.  I can do what I want (again, not much different but you know what I mean... I can work on projects that only get accomplished during good quality me time).

And then there are the times that we go "hunting" together.  LOVE- the outdoors, 4-wheeling, hiking.  Dislike- what are these guns for? Oh yeah. Maybe I don't want to see any animals. :)

Last night officially began hunting season around here. Doves I think. So here is what I did.

I LOVE fall decorations!
He loves to play in cupboards and put things on his head

And here is a glimpse at what Talon did.

I love the way his chubby feet look under the cupboard door. :)

Happy Hunting!

I hear ya sister. Every week Trent wants me to go look for something with him. Last week it was coyotes and doves. I go sometimes and bring a book and something for Tru to do... but it's boring. I figure half the time I go with and the other half I do my own thing. It seems to work out well that way. I love your pumpkin! I was just thinking of what kind of halloween crafts I want to do this year...

I guess I missed the boat on this marrying a hunter thing.
